We have a high-bar request for you today. But it’s something that will help ensure that our team has the resources needed to carry out our nationwide voter contact plan between now and November.

Here's what we're asking for: a weekly donation — for 9 weeks total between now and Election Day — to WFP.

Here’s WHY we’re asking for it: because the type of work we’re doing this election cycle is not only logistically difficult, but very, very costly.

Let’s break it down:

Generally speaking, anytime we text a voter — anywhere in the country — it costs about 2 cents. Phone calls cost about 5 cents. And postcards cost about $1.50.

At a low scale, these are all quite affordable. But when the mission is “to talk to millions of voters in a handful of states that could decide this election,” costs can rise fast.

For example:

• We send between 100,000 - 200,000 text messages at our WFP text parties.
• We call 10,000 - 20,000 voters with our phone banks.
• We contact between 5,000 - 30,000 voters through our novel postcard program.

Those aren’t figures for all of 2024 combined. Those are figures for EVERY TIME we make a big push around a certain candidate or political issue.

We know you get a LOT of emails in your inbox asking for donations. And we know that’s only going to increase as we head towards the final stretch run of this campaign.

What we’re hoping to illustrate by sharing these numbers with you is what your contributions actually empower us to do.

Each donation, of any amount, allows us to keep our voter outreach program churning, day after day, week after week, and month after month.
