Second, we want to alert you to a critical issue currently sitting in Congress—the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA). At first glance, it might sound like a well-intentioned bill, but don't be fooled.
KOSA would place the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in charge of deciding what our children can see online, essentially giving the government control over the information and perspectives available to them. The real danger lies in the fact that only content deemed "scientifically correct" by the bureaucracy will be allowed. In reality, this means our kids will be exposed only to the left’s worldview—one that says masks are good, our most fundamental rights can be severely restricted whenever politicians say it's necessary, and that boys can become girls, among other ideas with which conservatives vehemently disagree.
If KOSA passes, our children will be permitted to view only what the government-approved experts decide is right. And right now, those experts are pushing an agenda that goes against everything we stand for. It's a direct attack on free thought and the right to access diverse and dissenting perspectives—values we hold dear.
Even though the House is out until September, it is crucial that you call and voice your opposition to this bill. The pressure on House members to vote "yes" in the name of "protecting children" will be immense, but we know that this bill is about much more than safety. It's about the left controlling what our children learn and believe. We must help our congressmen find the courage to say no to this dangerous legislation.
