Women are
not stupid.

JD Vance recently claimed that if Trump were to be president again, he
would veto a national abortion ban bill.

Does he really think that after they both have openly bragged about
blocking access to abortion — and after Donald Trump has repeatedly
bragged about how he was the one who appointed the extremist Supreme Court
that got rid of Roe v. Wade — that somehow we're all going to say, “Wow,
you guys are the ones to trust on this”?

That's just not happening.

Today, 30% of all women live in states that effectively ban abortion —
something that Trump and Vance have celebrated. With them in the White
House, they’ll aim for 100%.

They are coming after abortion everywhere in this country. They're coming
after IVF in this country, and they're coming after contraception — birth
control, IUDs, Plan B, everything. Not just in red states, but nationally
— red states, blue states, purple states, everywhere.

They can try to soften and message test their extreme anti-abortion
stances all they want, but, again, women are not stupid. And we are not
going to trust the futures of our daughters and granddaughters to these
two men.

[ [link removed] ]I’m going to spend the rest of this election calling out their
extremist record on abortion and make sure Democrats win the White House,
keep our Senate majority, and pass national abortion protections. Can you
pitch in
$28 or
anything you can right now to power our campaign for abortion rights?

There’s a page in Project 2025 that covers this. It says that if Donald
Trump is president, he can put in the right person over at the Department
of Justice to enforce an interpretation of an old law called the Comstock
Act that says you can't mail or receive any medication or any equipment
that could be used in an abortion.

We don’t have to guess whether or not JD Vance would follow this Project
2025 directive. Vance sent a letter last year to the Department of Justice
asking them to enforce the Comstock Act.

As Tim Walz says, you don’t make a playbook unless you’re planning to use
it. There’s already a plan in place for this.

The only way we’re going to protect access to abortion is by getting a
Democratic Congress and sending a federal abortion rights bill to Kamala
Harris to sign into law.

Ever since Roe v. Wade was overturned, voters have been fighting back. In
election after election ever since — in Kansas, in Michigan, in Ohio, in
Virginia, and more — they keep reminding anti-abortion extremists how out
of touch they really are.

This election will be no different. But we need to fight hard for this,
and put in the work now to make sure we win.

[ [link removed] ]If you’re able to, please pitch in
$28 or
anything you can right now to power this fight for abortion rights.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
