Democrats are making a full-court press to defeat our Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, who is up for re-election, and facing left-wing Democrat Colin Allred. News Nation has a report out showing that Cruz's lead over Allred has dropped from 9% in January to just 2% now, following millions of dollars in Democrat spending in Texas:
As Democrat Colin Allred is blitzing their airwaves with his new ad campaigns, he is funding this effort with contributions from more than 300,000 liberals across the country who have already made a financial contribution to Allred's campaign.
Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer has confirmed that the Texas U.S. Senate race will be one of their top focal points this election cycle. Democrats know that with their candidates trailing in West Virginia and Montana their only hope to hold onto a Democrat majority in the U.S. Senate is to defeat Ted Cruz in Texas.
