Forced into bonded labor at the age of 7, he is finally free
For most of his life, a young man was forced to work in exploitative conditions at a goat farm to repay his parents' debt. He was unable to return home and lost contact with his family. Today, at age 19, he has been rescued by the government and is now working with IJM and local partners on his rehabilitation.

Peruvian police stations inaugurate safe spaces for women and children
The initiative responds to an urgent need, given the high rate of violence against women and children in Peru. With the support of IJM Peru, two police stations in Lima now have welcoming waiting rooms and service spaces for individuals who have experienced violence and are seeking support and protection.

Bangladesh police receive vital training to counter human trafficking
In partnership with the US Department of Justice’s International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) and IJM, nearly 50 police officers participated in a 12-day training. This aimed to equip them with the essential knowledge to appropriately investigate trafficking crimes, assist victims, identify human rights abuse and track illegal money laundering practices.
