Hi there, it’s Deborah Ross. I’m proud to support Democrats up and down the ballot — from President to our Council of State and General Assembly candidates. Today, I want to talk with you about our next president, Kamala Harris.

My relationship with Kamala goes back almost 20 years to our time as Rodel Fellows. I am so proud to support her for president because America deserves a leader who puts her heart and soul into everything she does — someone who truly cares. That’s Kamala Harris.

The energy that we all feel for Kamala is for good reason. She has always been very clear about her values and engaged with the work of fulfilling the promise of America, and the voters know it.

This is an historic moment. What we all need to do right now is bring this energy to every single race up and down the ballot. As vice presidential nominee Tim Walz said at the Democratic National Convention, we’ll sleep when we’re dead.

It’s going to be close on Election Day, and the only way to make our wins clear to election-denying MAGA Republicans is to win by a BIG margin this November.

With just a little over two months left until the election, we’ve got work to do. Here in North Carolina, we’ve got a real shot at flipping this state blue — for the FIRST TIME since 2008 — and our path to victory starts right here in Wake County.
