John, we have some good news and bad news:
The bad news: we’re running a little bit behind on hitting our $175,000 fundraising goal for the month.
But here’s the good news: we did the math and if two people from xxxxxx chipped in right now, we’d get back on track to hitting our goal. And every single contribution makes a difference. That’s the power of being a grassroots organization.
Since day one, Justice Democrats has been funded by grassroots donations from people who are dedicated to transforming the Democratic Party from the inside out to become the party that fights for its voters, not corporate donors. It is because of your support that Justice Democrats even exists.
We don’t take money from billionaires, or corporate special interests because we know that’s not the way to build a diverse working-class movement. The way to build this movement is from the ground up, with grassroots power from supporters just like you.
We’re in an existential fight for the soul of the Democratic Party. We’re up against corporate-backed incumbents who are spending big to hold onto their power.
Meeting our fundraising goal this month would put us in a position of strength and allow us to compete with incumbents’ corporate contributions and elect more working class champions to Congress who will fight alongside Alexandria, Rashida, Ilhan, and Ayanna for policies that will help millions of Americans.
In March, Justice Democrat Marie Newman defeated entrenched incumbent Dan Lipinski and once again proved that we can take on out-of-touch incumbents, but we need the resources to win. That’s why reaching our April fundraising goal is so important and every single donation makes a difference.
John, please chip in $3 to be one of the two people from xxxxxx who we need to donate today.
Thank you for being a part of our movement.
In Solidarity,
Justice Democrats
