The justices issued an ethics code last fall—which is the first in the court’s history—and it was later revealed that Justice Thomas failed to disclose a myriad of high-dollar gifts and trips from billionaires with a history of business before the court.

I've been sounding the alarm on Court Reform for years because of this very issue, but the concern over the lack of accountability is growing now not only because of his failure to recuse in certain high-profile cases that involved his insurrection supporting wife, but because of the recent discovery of even MORE undisclosed gifts Thomas received.

John, it's clear that without an enforceable, binding code of conduct, the justices can't govern themselves to put Americans over special interests—and it's clear that my Court Reform Now Task Force is key to changing that.

Our people deserve a judicial branch that's working to secure rights and strengthen our democracy—not one that's serving special interests and tearing down the sanctity of our democracy.
