Dear John,
As we move into the latter half of 2024, there is a lot at stake for the Iranian-American community. Working to prevent war and resolve underlying tensions is not just about stopping unfathomable death and destruction, it is also important to protect our civil rights here at home. Even as we work for peace and a ceasefire in Gaza and to prevent warhawks from achieving their dream of a broader war with Iran, we are keeping up momentum to defend our community’s civil rights.
John, we need your support to continue this vital work.
We are currently $3,903.72 short of our August fundraising goal, and with the month-end deadline almost here, we can close the gap with your help.
will you contribute to help us close the gap?
It is essential that NIAC remains a powerful, organized voice advancing peace and defending Iranian-American civil rights.
As a grassroots organization, fueled by the generosity of members like you, we have been able to:
-
Achieve recognition for Iranian Americans in the U.S. Census – which finally bore fruit this year – securing a critical foundation for our community’s civic and political future.
-
Continue to challenge discriminatory bank account closures, including through engagement with key administration officials.
- Combat the resurgence of alien land laws, building momentum for policy change to end a newly popular form of discrimination against our community and others.
And through it all, we are continuing to work as part of a broad coalition for peace in order to secure a ceasefire and prevent war from entangling the U.S. and Iran. With your help, we can build on this progress and continue to stand strong against those who seek to lay the groundwork for war and strip our community’s basic rights away.
Make your contributionThank you for your support,
Sara Hawrami
