John,
The Democratic Party cannot claim to stand for democracy and freedom while supporting a government that’s committing apartheid and genocide.
That’s why we’re calling on Democrats up and down the ballot to listen to the people. Instead of funding mass death, Democrats should be ending poverty and investing in Americans’ needs like housing and healthcare.
Rush a donation right now to help keep the pressure on all Democrats running for office, urging them to join our ceasefire movement and to call for an arms embargo to stop the Israeli government’s war crimes.
Recent polls found that a third of undecided voters in key swing states would be more likely to vote for Democrats if they pledge to withhold weapons to Israel’s military. As IMEU Policy Project executive director Margaret DeReus explained: “Not only are these policies popular, but they actually move voters from the 'undecided' or 'not voting' column and into the Democrats' column in the states Democrats will need to win.”
In order to defeat Trump and ensure that everyone can thrive, we need leaders in our party to listen to the Democratic base, including by supporting fair and humane immigration policies, affordable housing and healthcare, an end to weapons shipments to Israel, and an end to poverty.
The U.S. is the wealthiest nation in the world, but most American families live paycheck to paycheck, and more continue to experience homelessness as rents and home prices skyrocket. The Biden administration recently approved $20 billion more in weapons to Israel’s military as it commits horrific war crimes against Palestinian civilians. That money could go toward solving homelessness in the United States.
People watching last week’s Democratic National Convention posted on social media that they don’t want “the most lethal fighting force in the world.” Instead, they want to be able to go to the doctor, to afford their rent, and to support their families. They want the U.S. government to save lives at home and abroad.
To defeat Donald Trump and win the progressive changes we need, Democratic leaders must heed the calls of our Democratic base around the country who want to see more courage and urgency from the Democratic Party.
Donate today to help demand that Democratic elected officials live up to our values as a party and listen to the American people. Instead of funding war crimes and genocide, we must invest in life.

JOHN,
When Democratic candidates listen to Democratic voters, they win. New polling shows that Democrats, Independents, and young people in the swing states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Arizona are more likely to vote for Democrats if they support an immediate and permanent ceasefire and an arms embargo against Israel to stop the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. That includes a third of undecided voters in these key swing states.
It’s no surprise that in her presidential nomination acceptance speech, Vice President Harris got one of the loudest applause lines when she called for Palestinians to be able to “realize their right to dignity, security, freedom and self-determination.” But she spoke about “the suffering in Gaza” as if it were closer to a natural disaster than a genocide being armed and funded by the current Democratic administration.
This week, the Israeli military announced that the Biden administration has sent over 600 weapons shipments by air and sea to Israel since October. That’s over 50,000 tons of weapons, with shipments about every 12 hours―all used to commit well-documented war crimes and to murder Palestinian children and civilians.
A few weeks ago, the Biden administration approved another $20 billion in weapons to Israel. That’s about how much it would cost to end homelessness in the United States. Instead of funding mass death, Democrats should be ending poverty and investing in Americans’ needs like housing and healthcare.
Donate today to keep the pressure on Democrats up and down the ballot to demonstrate their alignment with Democratic voters, including by pushing for an arms embargo to stop the Israeli government’s war crimes.
I’ve spoken out about the Democratic National Convention’s erasure of Palestinian Americans last week. Palestinian Americans feel invisible, with our trauma and pain unseen and ignored by both Democrats and Republicans. We want action to stop the horrific massacres of our families.
Polling shows that the majority of Americans are with us―no matter their political party. But among Democratic voters, this jumps up to 80% who want to end weapons shipments to Israel and to see a permanent ceasefire. Democratic officials and leaders must listen to us.
The people who make up our Democratic base have been clear: They want to see a permanent ceasefire, an end to the funding of genocide in Gaza, and an arms embargo to stop the Israeli government’s war crimes. They want to see fair and humane immigration policies, not ones that vilify immigrants. They want to end fossil fuel subsidies that continue to poison our air and water. They want affordable healthcare, housing, and education. They want us to fight against corporate greed, strengthen unions, and lift families out of the cycle of poverty.
In order to live up to our values as the party of the people and the working class, Democrats must divest from endless war and death―and instead invest in life and in what our constituents need to thrive.
Donate today to demand that Democrats up and down the ballot listen to Democratic voters―including by supporting a permanent ceasefire and acting to bring that about by ending weapons shipments to Israel.
