In fact, just this morning, she just released a new TV ad attacking me–and it’s all over the airwaves. She clipped out of context quotes together to make me seem like a partisan extremist.
You know me. I’m not running to serve one party. I’m running to bring strong, independent leadership to Washington. And most importantly, I’m running to fight for Maryland and fix the broken politics–just like I did as governor.
But I need your help to win this Senate race.
A new independent poll shows that this race is a DEAD HEAT. I’m tied 46%-46% with Angela Alsobrooks, who is plastering the airwaves with negative TV ads while we are not.
This is the perfect example of the type of petty partisan politics we must END if we want to come together and start making progress on the real issues. This is exactly why we need to fix the mess in Washington.
The truth is, I am in this race to fight for a better future for ALL Marylanders and ALL Americans.

When I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate, I did so with a deep resolve to maintain the leadership style and principles that guided me during my eight years as governor.
Fifty years ago, my father, Maryland Congressman Larry Hogan Sr. made a tough decision. He became the first Republican to come out for the impeachment of President Nixon. He put aside party politics and his own personal considerations and stepped up to do the right thing for Maryland and the nation.
Today, Washington is completely broken because that kind of leadership and willingness to put country over party has become far too rare. But it’s not in my nature to sit back and watch the dysfunction continue without doing what I can to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
I’m under no illusion this will be an easy road. But I’m no stranger to uphill battles, and I know I can’t do it without your support.
I don't aspire to be a United States senator.
