"Central Bank Digital Currencies Could Mean the End of Democracy"
--The Canadian Press headline, August 2, 2022
Patriot,
The headline above says it all.
Sometimes you have to wonder what and how much of your personal
information the government has and what they are doing with it.
We know they are in cahoots with Big Tech to collect information
about your social media accounts.
We know they are in cahoots with the telecom companies to scoop
up information on your phone calls, emails, texts, and even your
location.
And after the near assassination of Donald Trump, you have to
wonder how much of your personal and private health information
they have.
One news report after the shooting said:
Officials had said during that press conference that they were
using the suspect's DNA to confirm his identity, because the
suspect had not been carrying anything that would have identified
him.
"It's a matter of doing biometric confirmations," (FBI Special
Agent in Charge Kevin) Rojek said. "So, there was no
identification on the individual, for example, so we're looking
at photographs right now and we're trying to run his DNA and get
biometric confirmation."
In a matter of hours, we were told the government was able to
identify the shooter using "biometric confirmation" even though
the shooter apparently had no criminal history or reason to
submit his DNA to the government.
Patriot, it makes you wonder where they get all of their
information and what else they are storing in huge government
databases.
The one piece of the puzzle the government doesn't have complete
control over: full and unhindered access to your bank accounts!
. . . yet . . .!
They are working hard to get that access. And their vehicle for
doing so is through a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
The good news is, we're part way there to stopping this scheme.
I'll get to that in just a moment.
The CBDC is a Trojan horse for massive spying on Americans'
private financial transactions that would open the door for
crackdowns on what we buy and what politics we choose to support.
Which is why governments around the world are so anxious to
implement a CBDC.
Just last month, the government of The Bahamas announced they are
making their CBDC, the "Sand Dollar," mandatory.
And I'm sure our own government is salivating at the thought of
doing the exact same thing.
This should come as no surprise to you, if you're familiar with
how the forces of tyranny operate:
Give them an inch, and they'll take a mile.
They insist "a little gun control is not a bad thing," but their
next push is for universal gun registration.
They claim searching law-abiding Americans' phone and Internet
records without a warrant is "for your own safety," and before
long they're collecting and storing all of your - and every other
American's - personal information in massive government
databases.
So of course, once they introduce the CBDC as a "choice," it's
only a matter of time before it becomes mandatory.
That's why it's so critical you and I DEMAND our lawmakers BAN
the CBDC - and legislation to do just that is already halfway to
the president's desk.

Fortunately, the Republican Party platform now includes opposing
the Central Bank Digital Currency as a plank - one of the only
planks of the Republican Party, remarkably.
The fact that opposing a CBDC was included in the platform shows
just how many people are DEMANDING we slam the door on the CBDC
right now.
Because if the Federal Reserve is allowed to introduce a Central
Bank Digital Currency, it's only a matter of time before they
make it mandatory - just like they have in The Bahamas.
Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has come right out and said: the CBDC
would be "identity verified" and "not anonymous."
Imagine the government knowing what you buy and being able to
punish you for it.
"Your carbon footprint is too big! You're not using enough GREEN
energy! No new truck for you!"
Imagine what your "social credit score" would look like. Maybe
you would be under suspicion for not taking a vaccine, having too
many firearms, growing your own food, or giving money to a
disfavored church or charity.
Imagine the government being able to punish you based on the
causes and campaigns you support. . .
And then shutting down your bank account!
Your Campaign for Liberty has worked to pass a ban on a CBDC in
ten states and counting. Now we need to stop it at the federal
level.
As I wrote earlier, we are part way to putting a stop to the
statists' latest scheme.
Already, you and I and countless other patriots worked to pass
H.R. 5403 - the CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act - in the U.S.
House earlier this year.
But now it's languishing in the U.S. Senate.
And we must force it out of committee for a full floor vote!

The Senate is consumed now with their long summer break (so they
can electioneer), and when they return after Labor Day, much of
their time will be scrambling to pass budget bills or face the
threat of a government shutdown.
But if they truly value Americans' right to privacy - if they are
really concerned about the Spy State on our own soil - they won't
add more to the snooping they already do.
And in an election year and scandal after scandal, some of these
senators are anxious to clean up their reputations.
So please take just a few seconds and sign your directive to your
U.S. Senators.
You and I need to turn up the heat in the last few months of this
session of Congress and pass H.R. 5403, the CBDC
Anti-Surveillance State Act now!
[link removed]
But I hope you won't stop there.
After you've signed your directive, can you include your largest
possible donation to help us mobilize more patriots?
Are you able to send in a generous donation of $200?
Time is of the essence here, and I need all the help I can muster
to FORCE H.R. 5403 across the finish line.
If $200 is too much during these turbulent economic times, are
you able to give $100 or $50?

Patriot, you and I need to put an end to the idea of the Spy
State implementing a CBDC.

U.S. Senators today and then please include your most generous
donation.

Ron Paul
Chairman
P.S. If the Federal Reserve is allowed to introduce a Central
Bank Digital Currency, it's only a matter of time before they
make it mandatory.
The CBDC is a Trojan horse for massive spying on Americans'
private financial transactions that would open the door for
crackdowns on what we buy and what politics we choose to support.
Thankfully, H.R. 5403 - the CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act -
would bring these globalist plans to a screeching halt!
You helped me pass H.R. 5403 through the U.S. House earlier this
year.
But now it's languishing in the U.S. Senate.
So please take just a few seconds and sign your directive to your
U.S. Senators.

Then, after you've signed your directive, can you include your
largest possible donation to help us mobilize more patriots? Can
you send in $200, $100, or $50?
