Team,
We have some big news:
Andy has been named to the newly-formed, bipartisan House Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis, which will oversee the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We're proud to see Andy being recognized for his leadership on these issues with this new appointment, and we know taxpayer funds will be spent more effectively and transparently with Andy joining the committee. He'll be working across the aisle to make sure help gets to where it's needed most -- like local communities and small businesses.
Andy takes this job seriously. He knows how much this pandemic has impacted families across our state and country. Whether it's medical workers who need PPE, small businesses who need help to keep afloat, or our most vulnerable who need a meal -- Andy is ready to advocate for practical measures to get America back on its feet safely. And make sure that it's done the right way.
Advocating for accountability has always been one of Andy's key missions. In fact, it was one of the key reasons he decided to run for Congress. That's why he's refused to take a dime of corporate PAC money, and why he's worked to make our elections more open and transparent by supporting sweeping, historic election reforms.
Unfortunately, not everyone appreciates Andy's commitment to ensuring that our government is accountable to everyday people. Special interests and super PACs are still spending millions -- and outspending us -- to try to replace Andy with a politician who will put them first.
We need accountability in government now more than ever, and we can't let dark money groups buy this race. Will you chip in and help make sure Andy can keep fighting for us now and long after this crisis is over?
Thanks for your support. Stay safe, and stay strong,
Team Kim
