This Labor Day weekend, we’re celebrating! It’s been one year since Coach Joe Kennedy went back to the football field and took a knee in prayer.
His story of perseverance and faith in the midst of a Supreme Court case is so powerful that they’ve turned his life story into a movie.
His film, Average Joe, premieres in theaters beginning October 10th.
It focuses on his biggest battle: his commitment to stand for God publicly by taking a knee in prayer after each football game. When he was fired for living out his faith, Joe and his wife Denise knew this battle for religious freedom and the rights of all Americans was one they would have to fight.
You can show your support for Coach Joe and religious freedom by going to the movies on opening weekend. Tickets are now available for purchase.
Listen to Coach Kennedy give his take on the movie about his fight for faith and freedom:
After years of fighting in court, First Liberty secured a historic victory for Coach Kennedy at the U.S. Supreme Court in 2022.
His ruling set a precedent that completely changed the future of religious freedom for all people of faith from coast to coast.
Thanks to Coach Kennedy’s courage and resolve throughout his case, Americans now have the chance to experience more religious freedom than we’ve had in 50 years.
But it’s up to you and I to seize the opportunity.
Will you join First Liberty as we continue to fight to secure the blessings of religious liberty?
