96% of people don’t know what the National Wealth Fund is John. That’s what our survey from last week revealed. But with £7.3 billion to tackle the climate crisis, it's pretty important. 

Crucially, since there’s lots about the NWF that nobody knows because the details haven’t been decided yet, the more people that understand it, the more power we can build to push Labour to make sure it's designed for the public good - not private profit.

When Parliament returns next week, we’ll be sending a briefing paper to every single MP to explain what the NWF is and, more importantly, what it could be. 

The National Wealth Fund is a huge opportunity to generate billions of pounds of public and private investment to boost home-grown clean energy in the UK, create green jobs, and cut our carbon emissions - if it’s designed correctly.  

And because the NWF is a brand new institution, there’s lots of scope to influence its design in the coming months. To build this influence with MPs, we need to start spreading the word with their constituents too.
