John -

A few days ago, 47 brave climate activists were arrested in Kampala,
Uganda.

Their crime? Peacefully protesting the East African Crude Oil Pipeline
(EACOP). But we refuse to let the fossil fuel industry intimidate us.

Climate organizers are going back out in the field to train community
members for the next round of protests — and the more we raise today, the
more activists we can train to peacefully protest.

[ [link removed] ]John, can you
pitch in
$3.50
today to help send organizers to train and support Ugandan climate
activists on how to peacefully protest and demonstrate against this
disastrous pipeline?

As I write this, activists are facing intimidation, harassment,
surveillance, arrests, and even abductions.

Which is why we are committed to training as many community members as
possible on their rights as they stand up against this pipeline project.

Legal teams and our organizers have been out in the field all month
conducting these trainings:

offices in Hoima

But these types of trainings require resources for organizers to travel,
secure meeting spaces, and provide materials for activists to know their
rights as they head into peaceful protests. Which is why I am asking:

[ [link removed] ]Can you help fund our next round of trainings? Your support provides
direct resources to organizers and legal teams so they can travel to train
climate activists on how to peacefully protest.

State violence towards activists is continuing to get worse. So thank you
for chipping in today and sending a clear message that we won't let
intimidation stifle the voices of those who defend our planet and human
rights.

Let’s act now.

In solidarity,
