Will Meta's CEO now stand against government censorship? Hi John, Yesterday I appeared on the "Capital Report" to discuss what Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s letter to Jim Jordan could mean for your free speech rights. You can watch the full four-minute interview, but if you're short on time, here's the gist of my opinion on these recent events... The bottom line - we need legislation from Congress that puts limits on what the government is allowed to do when interacting with social media companies. We also need to know when the government is making secret attempts to censor us. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court's decision in Murthy v. Missouri continues to leave the door wide open for potential government abuse of our First Amendment rights. As long as the threat of adverse actions by the government hangs over Zuckerberg's head, he will have no choice but to cave to government pressure to censor. You can count on us to work tirelessly to protect and defend your right to political free speech both in court and in the court of public opinion.
