Friend --
You have no right to complain unless you try to do something to make the situation better.
Since March 16, I've been publicly calling for a plan to bring us back to a post-COVID19 normal.? I've done an op-ed and led a group of Republican senators to send an open letter to the Governor Pritzker pointing out the need for a plan.? Unfortunately, we've had no response or action from the Pritzker Administration.
By last week, Senator Dan McConchie and I decided we couldn't wait for the administration any longer and started working on what we unveiled yesterday:? A Responsible Illinois Reopen Plan.
The Responsible Illinois Reopen Plan calls for a regional, phased reopening.? It recognizes that a one-size-fits-all solution doesn't make sense for our diverse state.? The essence of our plan is: "statewide standards, assessed regionally, and applied locally."
You can read our plan here <[link removed]>.
You can listen to me talk about the plan during a WJPF radio interview here <[link removed]>.?
As an added bonus, during that WJPF interview I explain how Governor Pritzker unwittingly proved my point about the need for local control!
Thanks for reading and S/F,
Paul
