We're going to get through the coronavirus outbreak together. If you are experiencing symptoms or are looking for more information, you can visit the website of the CDC or the Texas Department of Health. We are closely monitoring the situation and its effects on the people of Texas and our nation as we work together to keep our families and communities safe.
John,
Governor Abbott is hell-bent on reopening Texas - and he’s not going to let public health experts stop him.
Here’s the thing: we all want to get back to normal as quickly as possible. But there’s only one way to do that safely, and that’s with enough testing to know where the virus is.
And Texas isn’t there yet. We are behind most other states in per capita testing. And if we don’t ramp up testing, we won’t be able to trace and contain the coronavirus.
This is the problem with total GOP control in Texas. The coronavirus has shown us that, time and again, the GOP will put partisanship over public health. That needs to change. Pitch in $10 or whatever you can now to help us flip the TX House Blue in 2020 >>>
Unlike what Dan Patrick will have you believe, we don’t have to sacrifice elderly and at-risk Texans to reopen our state. We can listen to the experts, the data, and the science to get back to normal while protecting our most vulnerable. But to the Texas GOP, lives don’t matter, sick patients don’t matter, and frontline hospital workers don’t matter. All that matters is the money they receive from special interest groups.
We can bring sanity, accountability, and true public service back to the Texas legislature. But it’s going to take every single one of us to get there. We have a critical fundraising deadline coming up in less than 48 hours, and we’re asking you to make a contribution to get us one step closer to flipping the House Blue in November >>>
