James,
JD Vance is in my district today campaigning – and if it’s anything like his recent excursion to a Georgia donut shop, it’s sure to be yet another example of why he’s wrong for Wisconsin.
Instead of taking the opportunity to connect with folks in Georgia and hear about the issues that matter to them – or their favorite donut – JD Vance responded with “okay, good” before ordering “some sprinkles stuff… whatever makes sense.” He didn’t just fumble his donut order, he fumbled his entire visit.
But JD’s cringe attempt to order donuts isn’t nearly as offensive as his policies. From calling for a “federal response” to block women from traveling for abortions, to suggesting that people trapped in violent marriages should stay in them, his wild and extreme views on women’s and reproductive rights in particular need to stay far away from the White House.
To fight back against policies like these, I need your help. My campaign is approaching our end-of-month fundraising goal, and every dollar is critical. Can you chip in $5, $25, or whatever you can to help us reach our goal?
Don’t let JD Vance and his strange brand of politics take root in our district or our country.
Thank you for standing with me and for keeping Wisconsin strong.
Kristin Lyerly
