If you tuned into the Democratic National Convention, you know how electric it was.
As you might imagine, Maura was busy, so we wanted to put together a recap email with some behind-the-scenes pics to fill everyone on Team Healey in on some of what Maura was up to!
She started off the week with Massachusetts labor leaders (and a pretty awesome T-shirt)...
She and her partner Joanna met up with some incredible leaders (both on and off the field) like Abby Wambach, Glennon Doyle, Ali Kreiger and Coach Walz…
It was inspiring to see her and Gov. Janet Mills with Nancy Pelosi, who has led the way for so many women in politics today…
Including the amazing Democratic women governors who Maura joined for a panel!
And our great Massachusetts Congresswomen Trahan and Clark (who were also rocking some rad shades).
She got to see Chairman Aaron Michlewitz, who has helped get so much important legislation to her desk.
It’s no secret that there are a ton of amazing Democratic Governors across the country, so Maura had to check out the Dem Govs “bench.”
Maura made sure she was fueled up and ready to go for her speech on Thursday night, Massachusetts style…
And got in some podium prep ahead of her speech.
When she got on stage she told a heartwarming story about introducing VP Harris to a little girl in Massachusetts a few weeks ago, making the case for how she’ll lead with courage and empathy.
And got a big hug afterwards by the best team member out there — Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll!
It was an inspiring convention for all of us — including Maura.
She wasn’t the only one feeling hopeful and ready to finish this election out strong.
We can’t wait to close this election out strong and make sure we elect Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and Democrats up and down the ballot.
So like Maura says, let’s get after it.
