Team — coming back to Ruben’s email from this morning.
We noticed you didn’t chip in, so we thought you might need a little more to go on before you decide to make a donation.
We noodled on it and came up with three good reasons:
Trump attacked Ruben on stage at his rally on Friday, saying “he shouldn’t even be allowed to run” against Kari Lake. He called him a maniac, and he butchered the pronunciation of his last name.
Trump also said that if he wins in Arizona, he wins the presidency. And he’s going to do whatever it takes to win.
He’s scared of Ruben. He knows that if Ruben defeats Kari Lake, it’s all the more likely we defeat Trump, too.
One thing more than any other is going to determine the outcome of this U.S. Senate race in Arizona: Raising the resources we need to win. So far, we’re outraising Kari Lake. But with $12 million in outside spending coming at Ruben, with these hits and attention from Trump, we could get swamped before we know it.
That’s why Ruben emailed this morning, and that’s why we’re reaching out again tonight. So, please, if you can:
