Our end-of-month fundraising deadline is almost here.
My team tells me that we need to raise $10,000 before August 31st — and in a moment, I’m going to ask for your help reaching that goal. But before I do, I want to explain just how important your support is right now.This is our last grassroots fundraising deadline of the summer. And once it passes, we will be sprinting towards the 2024 presidential election, which is just 68 days from today.
That means it’s going to be an incredibly busy time for my office. Already this summer, far-right Republicans have ramped up their attacks on our fundamental freedoms. They’ve introduced abortion bans, thwarted critical environmental regulations, and increased their voter suppression efforts. They’re even coming after IVF.
Day in and day out, I have been working to make sure these attacks don’t reach Californians. With your support, I’ve been successful — holding polluters accountable, keeping greedy corporations in check, and making sure our fundamental rights remain protected.
But these next few months are only going to grow more tumultuous. The closer we get to Election Day, the more work there’ll be for us to do — and the less time I will have to fundraise. And that’s where supporters like you come in.
The more we can raise from grassroots donors like you replying to emails like this one, the less time I’ll have to spend making calls to donors — and the more time I can focus on protecting our state from these extremist attacks.
As we enter the final stretch of this election season, that’s going to be more important than ever. So as our deadline quickly approaches, will you chip in $5 and help us reach our fundraising goal by Saturday at midnight?
