We are facing an unprecedented assault on reproductive rights in our country, and nowhere is this more evident than in Tennessee. A total abortion ban is in effect, making it nearly impossible for people to access the care they need. Worse still, they are now working to make it a crime to assist a minor in crossing state lines to obtain an abortion. These draconian laws are a direct attack on our freedoms and must be challenged.
This is why supporting organizations like Tennessee Advocates for Planned Parenthood (TAPP) is more critical than ever. TAPP is on the frontlines, fighting to protect reproductive rights and provide essential services to those in need.
When I served on the board of my local Planned Parenthood affiliate, I saw how ruthless anti-abortion extremists can be. TAPP is mobilizing communities, advocating for change, and standing up for the right to choose. In fact, TAPP has launched the LARGEST phone-banking operation in the entire state, which will be invaluable come election time.
