John,
The right-wing media is attacking COURIER again.
This time, the conservative propaganda outlet Washington Examiner published a story calling one of COURIER’s eleven battleground newsrooms, The Nevadan, a “fake news” website.
Since then, the smear has been picked up by The Washington Free Beacon, Newsmax, and even some far-right morning radio news shows.
It’s an old trick – those who spread lies are the first to accuse others of doing the same.
For years, right-wing media, particularly online outlets like Washington Examiner and The Washington Free Beacon, have gone unchecked. They’ve dominated the online conversation, spreading propaganda, hate, and conspiracies well beyond their far-right base.
COURIER is putting that to an end. Our reporters in our eleven battleground states work around the clock to combat radical right-wing conspiracies and misinformation on social media news feeds and in email inboxes. We meet people where they are to set the record straight with free, factual news.
That’s a huge threat to conspiracy theory and rage click model of the far right. They’re facing opposition for the first time, and this latest attack proves they are taking notice.
Here’s the thing, John: we’re less than 70 days from Election Day, and many swing state voters need COURIER’s coverage now more than ever.
That means we need your help to stand up to their attacks.
