Like Kamala Harris, when I was a teenager, I worked at an Arizona McDonald’s. This job instilled in me the importance of hard work, a principle that has guided me throughout my career, including my time as a Member of Congress. For me, working at McDonald’s was a way to earn some extra money after school and on weekends, but for many of my coworkers, it was a lifeline to support their families and make ends meet.

The middle class is the backbone of our economy, which is why in Congress, I have consistently fought to make things easier for hardworking families.

But friend, if extremists get their way, they’ll be focused on tax breaks for the richest Americans, not the middle class. That’s why we need to roll up our sleeves and put in the hard work to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in Arizona – including my race right here in Maricopa County.
