Kathy has been hard at work talking to voters and supporters on the phone, and we have been blown away by the response. April has been difficult for so many people, and millions of Americans are losing their jobs and their income. Yet, we’ve seen an increase in individual donations, financial support, and volunteer enthusiasm. Why?
Voters across the political spectrum are finding it impossible to ignore the dysfunction in Washington and how the complete void of leadership has resulted in economic hardship and senseless loss of life. Real people are hungry for change and for a competent government that keeps Americans safe and provides a strong economy without sacrificing their health and wellbeing. It’s possible, of course; just not a priority for the GOP and the Trump Administration.
Here’s our goal for the next two days: to support rebuilding our presence, message, and our bench in largely rural districts like mine, we would like to raise $1,750 over email and social media. We only ask that if you are as astounded as we are by the incompetence and callousness of our government right now, you help us bring the fight to them in November.
