This summer has been record-breaking. And not in a good way.

 

First: This June was the warmest June on record, according to NOAA.

 

Then: People across the continental US endured more record-breaking heat waves in July. In fact, July 22 was the hottest day on record, according to a preliminary NASA analysis of global daily temperature data. July 21 and 23 also exceeded the previous daily record, set in July 2023. 

 

Now: Hurricane Debby left billions of dollars of damage in its wake – some estimates are showing up to $28 billion. And we still have months left of hurricane season.
