We wanted to ask you this myself: Does this sound ambiguous to you?
“Federal law prohibits political campaign or election-related activities within Army National Military Cemeteries, to include photographers, content creators or any other persons attending for purposes, or in direct support of a partisan political candidate’s campaign.”
Those are the regulations the Army uses to manage access to their cemeteries, including Arlington National Cemetery. Seems crystal clear to me.
Trump and his campaign violated federal law at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday.
Arlington officials have confirmed that there was a verbal and physical altercation between campaign staff and a cemetery official when they tried to enforce federal law and prevent Trump campaign staff from accessing Section 60, where recent casualties from the Global War on Terror are buried.
All for a damn photo op.
Trump and his campaign used our most hallowed ground as the backdrop for a campaign event. They turned Arlington National Cemetery into a prop. That should turn your stomach.
This is as clear as it gets. Suckers and Losers — confirmed. Degrading the Medal of Honor — confirmed. Now, using Arlington National Cemetery, our most hallowed ground, for politics. Pushing aside, and verbally abusing staff for trying to enforce federal law and preserve the sanctity of the cemetery.
This should be on every channel, nonstop. But so far, this isn’t getting anywhere near as much coverage as it should. That means it’s up to us to spread the word.
Please, chip in to VoteVets RIGHT AWAY and help us make sure this story gets the attention it deserves. Every Veteran, every member of a Military Family, every American needs to know that our most hallowed ground is NOT a prop for Trump’s political ambition.
