John,
Thank you, Tulsa!
Last night, your support was critical to helping me beat the odds and finish in first place! That means, despite being outspent, our grassroots movement was strong enough to advance to a runoff election in November that will decide Tulsa's next mayor.
We made history because your grassroots donations were critical to funding precisely targeted digital outreach and a massive door-knocking campaign in the final stretch that allowed us to have in-depth conversations with our neighbors about the issues that matter most.
Now, we're moving on to the runoff election against Karen Keith, and we need to dig deep to overcome her resources and MAGA-filled campaign. Can I count on you to pitch in as a founding donor to my runoff campaign?
Our first-place finish sent a resounding message because it means the race is about the future, not bringing us back to the past. At last night's post-election party in Greenwood, the significance of what we accomplished together was palpable. Together, we can make history, but we still have a lot of work to do to get there.
I am excited about the opportunity that running an election in the general brings — it means that more voters than ever before will be making a decision about who the next mayor of Tulsa is. I firmly believe that Tulsans will cast their ballot for the future of Tulsa, for a candidate that, since day-one, has listened to voters about what the future of the city can be, and still remains to be the only candidate who has detailed plans on how to accomplish our biggest goals.
Despite being outspent, we won by talking with Tulsans — not at them. It was such a joy to have so many deep conversations on the doors about the issues that truly matter to Tulsa: homelessness, education, the need to make sure we have an economy that works for everyone, and public safety. I'm the only candidate with clear plans to address these issues.
Tulsans are ready to write the next chapter in our history. Help us win in November by pitching in what you can here!
Onward,
Monroe
