We’re closing in on Labor Day weekend – the unofficial marker of entering the “final stretch” toward Election Day. But first we’re facing a critical end-of-month fundraising deadline. Before I ask you to make a donation to help us reach our goal [[link removed]] , I want to tell you why I’ve never been more confident about this election.
After an incredible week with Minnesota Democrats in Chicago for the DNC, including our next Vice President Tim Walz, I can feel an energy we haven’t felt in a long, long time. But I can also feel that same energy on the ground in every community across the 8th district.
The choice that voters have this year couldn’t be more stark in contrast. On one side we have Donald Trump and Pete Stauber, who continually stoop to new lows and baseless attacks. If my two boys talked to their classmates the way that they do, I know I’d be expecting a call from the principal’s office.
But on the other side, Democrats are leading with joy, compassion, and an unwavering promise to work hard to make life better for working families.
Momentum continues to grow for our positive vision for the future, but we need to keep it going every single day until Election Day. If we take our foot off the gas, we could wake up on November 6th with the same feeling we had in 2016.
