A Call for New Volunteers: Help Us Build a Birdier Northern Virginia

It's a busy time! Lots to do as we strive to reach further, engage more diverse communities, spread the word about our new name and continue the important conservation work that is our mission.

We can't do it without volunteers!

I am inviting you to help out this fall if you have some time. We need bird walk helpers to bring binoculars so that brand new participants can see the magic of bird watching for the first time. We need folks to go to tabling events and help out with speaking to the public about our programs. We need volunteers to deliver talks at nature centers and other locations. We need volunteers to help with writing articles for the website from new perspectives. We need volunteers who speak other languages to help us engage new groups. We need help finding more helpers.

Birds bring joy to all of us, give us peace of mind, entertain us, help our agriculture, and fertilize our soil. They are part of the intricate web of life on which we depend. Your involvement will help birds and connect you to others who share your interests.
