Dear Democrats,
Team DPNM is still riding that DNC high after last week’s dynamic Democratic National Convention. We have a lot to be proud of - we put in countless hours of work that started when we drafted our official Delegate Selection Plan and culminated in the historic moment we watched Kamala Harris close out the Democratic National Convention a few days ago.
Democrats from every corner of the state partook in a multistep process that included running at the county, congressional district, and statewide at-large levels for the opportunity to represent New Mexico at the DNC. We sent 45 delegates and 3 alternate delegates to Chicago alongside a handful of Team DPNM staff and volunteers. Our delegation was remarkably diverse, just like New Mexico, with 7 out of the 30 elected at-large and congressional district delegates under 30 years old and 10 of those 30 were LGBTQIA+. Our delegation also included veterans, union members, rural voters, and Native American New Mexicans.

What wasn’t shown on TV were the long days and all the hard work of all the delegates, volunteers, and staff who made the Convention go off without a hitch. Every day before the main evening program of the Convention, NM Democrats attended a mandatory 7:30 am breakfast, caucus meeting, workshops, and other events.
Even though we put everything we had into the Convention - now the real work begins. The fact of the matter is that the Convention was expensive, very expensive! New Mexico Democrats only have mere days to kick our fundraising into high gear so we can run the statewide Democratic campaign it’ll take to ensure victory for Vice President Harris and Governor Walz, Senator Heinrich, Representative Vasquez, and other Democrats up and down the ballot.
Take a look at some of the highlights from behind the scenes at the DNC. But first - can you make a contribution of $24 or whatever you can right now to New Mexico Democrats to make sure we have the resources to make sure we won’t have to scale back our campaign efforts? We have boundless enthusiasm after the Convention, but we need your help to quite literally keep the lights on at HQ.

Our Convention was filled with optimism and a positive vision for America's future, unlike the dull RNC which presented only fear and division. But these next few weeks will determine which course America takes, and we need you with us in this fight now more than ever.

Sincerely, New Mexico Democrats |
