Greetings Friend, As we head into another week of the COVID-19 crisis, we are working to get you the most up-to-date and accurate information on everything from community resources to what is happening in Washington D.C. regarding the various COVID-19 relief packages. On this week’s Facebook Live chat, we have the perfect guest that can address both those topics and everything in between. This Thursday, April 30th at 6:00 PM, tune in to the Battle Born Progress Facebook page as we chat with United States Senator Catherine Cortez Masto. We’ll be discussing all of the work she and other congressional members are doing in getting back our state and country on their feet. To recap our previous installments, we talked extensively with State Treasurer Zach Conine about relief for homeowners, student loan borrowers, and rental assistance. Then, we chatted with Lieutenant Governor Kate Marshall about the 2020 Census (DO IT!) and how Nevada’s tourism economy is dealing with the crisis. Recently, we chatted with Congressman Steven Horsford about various funding measures from the U.S. Congress, and last week we talked about state issues with Nevada Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro. Finally, check out our resource guide (in English or Spanish) if you or a loved one need assistance during this time. I hope you can tune in! Maria-Teresa Liebermann Deputy Director |
