Game and Fish Commission to meet in Douglas

CHEYENNE — The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission’s next meeting is Sept. 10-11 in Douglas. The meeting will be held at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy, 1556 Riverbend Drive. The public is invited to attend in person or online via ZOOM video conferencing and will have a chance to speak to the Commission on any matter.
The Commission will be asked to approve the following regulations:
* Chapter 28, Regulation Governing Big or Trophy Game Animal or Game Bird or Gray Wolf Damage Claims.
* Chapter 44, Regulation for Issuance of Licenses, Permits, Stamps, Tags, Preference Points, and Competitive Raffle Chances.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will ask the Commission to confirm the identification of the Upper Wind River mule deer migration corridor and vote to approve the revised flight policy, objectives for five big game herd units and an amendment to the statewide bighorn/domestic sheep plan.
Planned informational presentations from Game and Fish personnel include an update on the department’s education program, collaborative research with the Wyoming Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, domestic animal policy and department construction projects.
