When you’re on the sand and dusty battlefields of Afghanistan, your whole
perspective changes.

You can barely see a few inches in front of you.

You have to rely on your other senses and your intuition.

And most of all, you have to rely on faith. Serving as a U.S. Navy Special
Operations Officer in some of the most dangerous war zones in the world taught
me a lot.

But most importantly, it taught me how grateful I am to be in America.

I’ve served all over the world, and let me tell you: if America falls, there
is NOWHERE else to go like it.

That’s why when I saw the path Joe Biden was leading our country down, I knew
I couldn’t sit on the sidelines.

My name is Hung Cao. I’m a retired U.S. Navy Captain and combat veteran, a
LEGAL immigrant, a husband and father of five, an unapologetic Christian and a
conservative.

I’m running for U.S. Senate in Virginia because I LOVE America, and I won’t
let the country that gave me everything fall to the wayside.

We need to secure our border, stop out of control spending, and start treating
criminals like criminals like again.

But most of all, we need to restore faith in our country for the next
generation. Look, as a combat guy, I don’t like to ask for help, but this
mission won't be easy and I can't do it alone.
