Folks — I’m stressed. My campaign team just called me to share that we're still $51,947 short of our August fundraising goal.
I’ll explain more in a moment, but first I have to ask: Will you make a split donation of any amount now to help us close the gap before our end-of-month deadline?
Mitch McConnell is flooding in millions of dollars to smear my record and boost his handpicked candidate. Unfortunately, these attacks are working: The latest polls have this race wide open.
Look, I’ve never been your typical politician. I’m a farmer. I grew up in a twenty-four-by-thirty-six foot house. I still farm the land my parents homesteaded 100 years ago. (Sharla and I are harvesting as we speak.)
I try every day to do right by the people of Montana. That means standing up to anybody—including Mitch McConnell and his special interests—to improve health care for veterans, lower prescription drug costs, and protect Medicare and Social Security.
But if I don’t get more grassroots support before the end of August, there’s a very real chance our team could miss our goal. Mitch McConnell and outside groups are spending nearly $90 million to buy this Senate seat—and the only thing that can stop them is you.
As much as I hate asking, I have to: Can I count on you to split a donation of $10 between my campaign and American Bridge before our end-of-month goal? When we win in November, it’ll be because folks like you.
Thank you for your support,
Jon
