This lifesaving bill is long overdue, friend. Will you help get the Humane Cosmetics Act over the finish line?. ([link removed])

Friend,

I’m writing with a crucial update on our fight to pass the Humane Cosmetics Act and ban cruel and outdated animal testing for cosmetics nationwide. Despite the availability of modern non-animal tests, many companies still choose to use inhumane and archaic methods like smearing cosmetic ingredients on animals’ sensitive skin or dripping them into their eyes in an attempt to assess whether the ingredients are safe for humans.

There are 45 countries that have banned cosmetics animal testing, and the United States is still not on that list. Instead, our country is lagging behind in the global effort to end cruel and unnecessary animal tests for cosmetics. Thousands of animals in lab cages right now are counting on us to pass the Humane Cosmetics Act before it’s too late. But we can’t continue this urgent fight without your help, friend.

Donate to the Humane Society Legislative Fund NOW so we can keep fighting to pass the Humane Cosmetics Act to end cosmetic animal testing in the United States for good and continue our work to protect all animals from harm. ([link removed])

Cruelty-free, effective and efficient testing methods exist today that provide viable alternatives to the shocking brutality of animal testing. These nonanimal methods use sophisticated computers, 3D printers and lab-grown tissue samples to provide more reliable results that are based on human biology. It’s clear that cosmetic animal testing is completely unnecessary.

We’ve fought for and won 12 state-level bans that block the sale of shampoo, deodorant and other cosmetics that have been newly tested on helpless animals. That’s real, lifesaving progress. But it’s not the whole picture. Congress MUST pass the Humane Cosmetics Act to finally ban new animal testing for all cosmetics manufactured or sold in the United States. This lifesaving legislation is long overdue, and time is running out to make a difference for animals suffering right now. Can we count on your gift of $20 or more today to help advance this urgent fight and save the lives of countless animals while there’s still time? ([link removed])

Thank you for your compassionate support for innocent animals,
