The Democratic nominee for President, Kamala Harris, has made “Freedom” the theme of her campaign. And here at Ground Game Texas, we couldn’t be more excited!
The challenge in Texas politics is convincing voters they can achieve their goals through the ballot box. Many Texans are cynical about elections, political parties, and political candidates. That’s why we are emphasizing issues — and the theme of freedom.
In Dallas, Bastrop, and Lockhart this year, we’ve put “Freedom Acts” on the ballot to reform local marijuana enforcement practices. To help local communities get free from oppressive, wasteful drug enforcement policies.
And in McAllen, we’re emphasizing campaign finance reform and creating local democracy powers like initiative, referendum, and recall. In other words — putting power back in the hands of the people.
