John, my path to the Senate has been a little different than most.
I grew up in a twenty-four-by-thirty-six foot house. I lost three fingers on my left hand in a meat grinding accident when I was a kid. I am and always will be a farmer, like my folks and like my grandparents.
I know I’m not winning any best dressed contests anytime soon, but I’ve always done things a little differently, and I don’t intend to change that now.
My hands get dirty from working the soil, not doing the bidding of billionaires. It helps to know I can rely on hardworking folks like you to power everything we do.
