Hi John,

As we get closer to the November election, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it could mean for our future – all of ours, sure, but especially the future for my daughter Jo and her (soon-to-come!) little sister.

A future where their rights are protected, not taken away. Where they’re free to love who they choose and with pride. Where my children can read and learn without being barred from the truth.

That is the future we all deserve. A future led by Kamala Harris as the first woman president and Tim Walz as a dedicated vice president and former public school teacher. 

My daughters might only know a world where a woman can be president and they’ll for sure know that Kamala Harris broke that ceiling for them. (And I hope they’ll know that their mom fought tooth-and-nail to ensure women and leaders who will fight for them took power at every level of government, in all kinds of communities).

Over the years, we’ve endorsed more than 3,000 amazing young, diverse and progressive candidates – with over a thousand of them winning their elections and making a genuine difference in their communities.

And our work is far from over – this November, we will have more than 500 Run for Something candidates running for school boards, state legislatures, council seats and more. These leaders have what it takes to not only win their elections, but ensure we don’t have another Trump presidency.

It’s more important than ever that we rally behind every single Democrat running for election this year. That’s why we’re looking to raise $25,000 by midnight so that we can lead our candidates to victory and get even more young, diverse progressives in office.
