John,
We're proud to have the support of Voter Protection Project, and we hope you are too!
VPP's support shows Ritchie's commitment to addressing unequal ballot access and ridding our politics of dark money from special interest groups and corporate PACs.
If you want to actually do something about the problems facing our democracy, rush in a donation before Thursday at midnight. Can we count on you to chip in $15?
Thanks!
Team Ritchie
PREVIOUS MESSAGE:
John,
As President of the Voter Protection Project, I oversee our efforts to end voter suppression by electing more voting rights champions to public office.
After the Supreme Court ruled last year in favor of partisan gerrymandering, the VPP was founded to fight back against right-wing attempts to dismantle voting rights. We seek out and support candidates who share our common goal of enfranchising voters — public servants who stand against attacks on our democracy and promote equality at the ballot box.
That’s why today, the Voter Protection Project couldn’t be prouder to endorse a leader who has demonstrated just that throughout his work fighting for New Yorkers — Ritchie Torres.
Voter suppression is a growing threat in our country, which is why it's important to elect leaders who prioritize doing something about it. On the City Council, Ritchie has fought for fairer elections that are secure and accessible to everyone. Leadership like that is needed in Congress, but he needs your help to win on June 23rd.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Ritchie’s leadership on voter protection and enfranchisement is sorely needed. As President Trump and right-wing legislators across the country erode voting rights for millions, having fighters like Ritchie stand up for what's right is crucial.
He’s been there for us, and now we have the chance to be there for him at a critical point in the race. Ritchie is refusing contributions from corporate PACs and special interest groups attempting to buy political influence, so support from this grassroots team is really important!
Thank you,
Matt Liebman
