After the Supreme Court ruled last year in favor of partisan gerrymandering, the VPP was founded to fight back against right-wing attempts to dismantle voting rights. We seek out and support candidates who share our common goal of enfranchising voters — public servants who stand against attacks on our democracy and promote equality at the ballot box.
That’s why today, the Voter Protection Project couldn’t be prouder to endorse a leader who has demonstrated just that throughout his work fighting for New Yorkers — Ritchie Torres.
Voter suppression is a growing threat in our country, which is why it's important to elect leaders who prioritize doing something about it.
