Thanks to his wealthy out-of-state donors, convicted criminal Joe Arpaio is outraising our campaign. So while Sheriff Paul Penzone is busy maintaining public safety and protecting Maricopa County residents, we’re doing everything we can to close the gap -- which is why we need your help.

With a global pandemic at hand, Sheriff Penzone has been hard at work leading Maricopa County’s response. He is making sure every Arizonan has access to the resources they need, sharing accurate and verified information, ensuring public safety, and looking out for the health and well-being of the deputies, detention officers and staff at MCSO.
As you can probably imagine, keeping everyone safe and leading our effort to flatten the curve has left little time for campaign fundraising.
Meanwhile, Joe Arpaio has been lining his campaign’s pockets with the help of wealthy out-of-state donors and political gimmicks like selling handcuffs and pink underwear -- a relic of past abuses at the infamous Tent City jail.

Over the course of the first three months of 2020, our campaign was outraised by Joe Arpaio’s. While we raised nearly three times as much as Joe in Arizona, wealthy out-of-state donors flooded the Arpaio campaign with contributions.
Sheriff Penzone has been working tirelessly to maintain public safety and look out for our community in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic while Joe Arpaio has been selling pink underwear and courting wealthy out-of-state donors.
