As August comes to a close, many children enjoy the final days of summer — and will soon gear up for a new school year.

But for children experiencing hunger and poverty, the start of a new school year isn’t always exciting — or guaranteed.

Thanks to your belief that education is essential to escaping the cycle of poverty, this school year looks much different for the families you help. Instead of waking up early to help at home, bright-eyed students head out the door, excited about what they’re going to learn at school this year.

Because of generous supporters like you, Eunice was able to join Heifer International’s Learn for Agribusiness project in Uganda to improve her sustainable farming practices, develop her financial literacy, and invest further in her children’s education.

Now, a full education is within reach for Eunice’s children — so they can aspire to lead lives of stability with endless possibilities. Their education will make all the difference between a bleak future and a bright one.
