The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission has just increased the wolf harvest quota for this season. Under the new rules, hunting and trapping limits have been raised to 334 wolves, up by 21 from the previous season. This decision could have devastating consequences for the gray wolf population and other vulnerable species.

Members of Congress are pushing to strip protections from iconic species like the Grizzly bear and gray wolf, enabling more hunting and further endangering these animals. As habitat destruction and climate change threaten more wildlife, the ESA is more crucial than ever.
