Paid Leave CR-101 filed

On August 16, 2024, Employment Security Department (department), Leave and Care Division, filed a CR-101 for Paid Family and Medical Leave rulemaking. The CR-101 was filed to consider amendments to existing rules related to the definition of health care provider, pandemic leave assistance grants, weekly claim requirements, authorization of a designated representative, good cause for late applications, prevailing interest rate, and removing gender-specific pronouns. The department may consider including other guidance beyond these topics as necessary.

The CR-101 can be viewed on the program’s rulemaking webpage under “Current Rulemaking”, where draft rules and meeting notices will also be posted when available.
