What's the Future of Higher Education?
A Virtual Panel Discussion Hosted by NAS

[link removed][UNIQID]
Dear Friend,

Join us for an open Zoom call on May 7, at 2pm as we discuss the long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on higher education.

Learning has shifted from in-class instruction to online education, students have been sent away from campus, and colleges prepare for drastically reduced classes in the fall. What does all this mean for the future of higher education? Join the National Association of Scholars for this virtual panel conversation to find out.

The event will feature Pete Peterson of the Pepperdine School of Public Policy; Tom Lindsay of the Center for Education Innovation and Texas Public Policy Foundation; and Phil Magness of the American Institute for Economic Research. They will discuss the changes we can expect in higher education in the coming months and years. There will also be a time for Q&A.

What’s the Future of Higher Education? is held in tandem with the release of Critical Care ([link removed][UNIQID]) , NAS’s plan to guide the federal response to the unprecedented disruptions facing higher education in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. If higher education is to survive this crisis and begin to flourish thereafter, drastic, multi-faceted reform is needed. You can find the full policy brief here ([link removed][UNIQID]) .
