This pandemic has transformed how we relate to one another. The events that once wove us together -- festivals, sports, concerts, rallies -- are on hold. The handshake, once a polite act of greeting, has fallen out of fashion. Keeping physical distance from one another, once a sign of standoffishness, is now an act of solidarity.

So much has changed. We expect your priorities may have changed, too.

We knew running a campaign in 2020 would be different from 2018 -- but we had no idea how different. Your input today will help us chart a course through the rest of an election year that's sure to be unlike any other.

Grassroots fundraising, which we've paused for the last several weeks, will be a key part of that course. Tomorrow, we'll be talking with Dean to make a plan to resume that aspect of our campaign.

We know we'll have some catching up to do. As much as the world has changed, special interests, corporate PACs, and their negative, misleading attack ads are not going anywhere. We'll need lots of grassroots support to help Dean's message of optimism, inclusion, and principled leadership break through the noise this year.
