The Constitution was created to protect life and liberty of the American people, quite the opposite of the NRA's extremist interpretation that this document gives anyone the right to own a weapon of war.
Banning assault weapons does not infringe on anyone's right to own a firearm, John, banning assault weapons saves lives. If the NRA doesn't want to ban AR-15's, they are an enemy of the American people.

Banning these weapons means stopping the next tragedy and saving lives. The NRA is ignoring the reality of our country and using their platform to galvanize Second Amendment extremists to block assault weapons bans while loosening gun laws – and we won't stand for it. We can't.
