When you visit national parks, you expect to be able to see the views. So it's super disappointing (and disgusting) when a bunch of nasty smog blocks the views at iconic parks like Arches, Bryce Canyon, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton. The EPA has proposed real pollution reductions at coal plants in Utah and Wyoming, which are some of the worst polluters in the country. Now we need to make sure the agency follows through.

Encourage the EPA to reduce coal pollution to make sure we have cleaner air at our national parks!

The air pollution from fracked gas exports, known as LNG, is causing deadly outcomes. Our new report Permit to Kill, released with Greenpeace, shows that existing operations are responsible for scores of premature deaths and nearly $1 billion in health costs every year.

Help Students Access National Lands for Free

On September 1, a new cohort of fourth graders and their families will become eligible to visit national parks, lands, and waters for free. This program, known as Every Kid Outdoors, has helped 1,105,805 students explore nature over the last nine years. But it will end in two years unless Congress passes the Every Kid Outdoors Act, a bill that permanently funds this crucial program and extends it to fifth graders.

Ask Congress to help more kids experience our national lands and waters!

Newest National Monument Honors Our Country's History and Diversity

Just before the Democratic National Convention, President Biden designated the Springfield 1908 Race Riot National Monument. This site fills a critical gap in the National Park Service, telling the stories of race riots and the founding of the NAACP.

Thank President Biden for creating the Springfield 1908 Race Riot National Monument in Illinois, and ask him to designate more national monuments!
